Description

Gerald Lomaventema Owl Bolo Tie

A Red Vein, Bisbee Blue Turquoise Gem is set in a Tufa Cast, Owl Kachina Bolo Tie... All handmade by Hopi artist, Gerald Lomaventema.

Tufa is a sandstone found on the Hopi Reservation. Gerald is a master at tufa casting intricate jewelry.

The Owl Kachina is a Night Hunter. He is also a Messenger and and protector of the home. Many people keep an owl fetish carving in their home to ward off evil. The Owl Kachina is rarely seen in carvings and even rarer in a Bolo Tie.

In addition to the Bisbee Turquoise there is Fossil Ivory and Ironwood all set in Argentium Silver. Argentium Silver is the name for .999 Pure Silver. Pure Silver does not tarnish. It is the copper in some silver that tarnishes.

The Bolo Tie measures 3 1/2" x 2 3/4"

Included is the Woven Leather string tie and Custom, Handmade Lomaventema Silver Tips

Suitable for framing and perfect for wearing.
