Mary and Joe Calabaza are no longer working. This is among the last of their work.

Here are 5 - 20" Strands of Ultra Fine (the most delicate and thin) Olive Shell Heishe made. 

Handmade Heishe is made by placing shell against shell and working the necklace till it is smooth as silk.  There is No space between each bead. 

Beware: frauds and machine made product is everywhere. It is often called heishe... it is not heishe. It is something else. Heishe is one continuous,
handworked shell or stone strand. Extremely fine, precise, rare art.
