Description

Madria Leekya, Inlaid Gem "Sleeping Beauty" Turquoise Ranger Belt Buckle Set

The front buckle portion measures
1 3/4" x 1 5/8"

It is made for 1" belt or use a Texas Ranger style belt that will fit blue jeans loops with a leather strip sewed on it to accommodate the buckle set.

The influence of European art and jewelry first made an impact on Southwest Native American silversmiths circa 1920's.  It occurred in Zuni with CG Wallace and his Zuni Trading Post.

Two of Wallace's top artists Leekya Deyuse and Dan Simplicio often collaborated.  It was a natural fit, Leekya's lapidary combined with Simplicio's silver work.

This piece was produced circa 1998 by Madria Leekya, Leekya Deyuse's granddaughter.  Madria made it true to the original design and techniques of the 1920's - 1930's.

Each gemstone is set in its own silver channel.  This assures (baring rough use) that the gemstones will not break or come apart from the bracelet.

This is a rare chance to acquire a new,  unworn, wonderful vintage Zuni Ranger Belt Buckle Set
