Jay Livingston pure Silver Wire Bracelet adorned with Rare, Gem, Bird's Eye, Morenci Turquoise.
Jay Livingston is the son of famed Zuni / Navajo silversmith, Jake Livingston. Jay studied with Jake many years before he ventured out on his own... with his own hallmark.
The work you see here is Jay's. It is beautiful, original and meticulously made.
The Morenci Turquoise Mine is located in southern Arizona. It was developed by Phelps Dodge (now Freeport McMoran) for cooper but also yielded turquoise. The colors varied from light to dark blue with no green color. Silver Pyrite is often found in Morenci turquoise (as it is in Kingman Turquoise).
The Morenci mine is no longer producing.
The Moreni Gem you see pictured here is sky blue with rare (and expensive) matrix called "Bird's Eye". It was probably from his father, Jake's turquoise collection
The bracelet will fit a small or medium wrist. It can be easily adjusted slightly.
