Quail
Bolotie
Attributed to Elliot Qualo - Zuni
Circa late 1960's - 1970's
Excellent Condition / Like New
The
Desert Quail are quite common in Sedona. They are beautiful, gentle creatures
that rost in local shrubbery. They venture out every morning around sunrise and
return at sunset. They are family oriented and the spring is a particularly fun
time to watch them. It's not unusual for mother to hatch 10 or 15 babies.
The baby quail are little round balls of feathers with two tiny legs.
Their morning and evening trek is like watching mother and dad
try to keep a herd of roaming golf balls in line.
This particular rendition of the desert quail is the most beautiful I've seen.
This is a rare and beautiful work of art.
