Turquoise Silver and Gold Jewelry
Throughout human kind, precious metals and rare gemstones have retained their value...
actually in modern times they have grown substantially in value.
We prefer our precious metals and rare turquoise
blended with art. It's much more fun
that way. If I wish, I get to select the metal, the turquoise, the artist
and even influence the design.

This Arizona Highways article appeared in April 1979.
What was true in the 1970's is true today.
Since
the 1920's... people have been coming to the Southwest to buy fine Indian
jewelry
to wear around the world.
What
made Southwest jewelry jump in popularity?? It was a 1970's, Wall Street
Journal article
telling people that Indian jewelry not only looked great but it was an even
better investment.
Stores like Saks, Bloomingdale's and Niemen Marcus began selling high end
Southwest jewelry to an eager clientele.
The
trend was so strong that imitations started to flood the market.... there was a
loss
of confidence and the mania ended. Of course, the art form did not die. It
quietly continued
through a small cadre of knowledgeable dealers, writers, collectors,
enthusiasts,
fashion designers and museums.
The main difference between collecting now and then is the internet.
Modern communications have made it much easier for collectors to get the best
material.
... to grow their collections to unprecedented heights. At the risk of
sounding self serving,
do not diminish the value of a dedicated dealer working on your behalf.
