Simon Aquirre no longer make jewelry. These pieces are his last and were made in 2004.

When this jewelry was made Simon was 35 years old artist and had been making
jewelry for only 6 months. We met him through his mentor and friend Kee Yazzie.

We found Simon Aquirre jewelry very exciting. Its design and execution
 simply made it stood apart from everything around it. 

His fine silver work alone would make Simon's work desirable. But for me,
it's the art that makes these pieces so special... the beautiful
animal portraits in gold and silver.

I should add, these are not flimsy pieces, but are made from thick Silver and
 Gold.  Working in thick gauge metal is considerably more difficult
 then working in thin and it adds an immeasurable degree
 of beauty and durability to the jewelry.
