Raymond Sequaptewa is a
fine Hopi silversmith. He uses a variety of
techniques including
tufa casting. The lapidary seen on his
jewelry is also done by him using natural
gemstones.
The deep, artful style of the tufa carvings are reminiscent of
old time greats Charles Loloma
and Preston Monongye... two men who set the standard for tufa cast carving.
