Ray Scott rarely makes silver pottery, but rather he tends to focus
on jewelry... for which he is internationally known. However, with
 this bowl Ray ventures off the beaten path and presents us with a
 heartfelt work of art as well as a complex, highly technical work.

The turquoise featured on top of the seed bowl is extremely fine gem
Morenci (Arizona) turquoise. Gem Morenci is noted for its deep, sky blue
color and is often found with silver pyrite in the turquoise.

Ray used 4 layers of silver to create this bracelet. The top and bottom layer
are highly polished while the middle two layers have silver granulation.

Its width is graduated from

The featured gemstones are Morenci Turquoise. The Morenci mine is in southern Arizona.
The mine was primarily explored for its copper... the beautiful turquoise that was taken
 out was a plus. This is a large and beautiful example of old Morenci. It is full of silver pyrite.

This began as a very large turquoise gemstone and was cut in half.

 One half of the turquoise was set in a bracelet for a lady and
the other half in a bracelet for a gentleman

The bracelet above is the smaller stone and smaller bracelet.

The turquoise gemstone measures
 1 3/4" x 7/8"

The bracelet is 2" wide

... for a 6 1/4" wrist
