Early Jesse from the Creem Collection - Part II

Jesse Monongye Inlay Silver Bracelet
This is an early Jesse.
It was probably made in the
late 1970's or early 1980's.
The bracelet is in
excellent, like new condition... there are a few
very light (barely visible) hairline scratches in the silver....
the bracelet is essentially like new
Inlaid are Malachite, Coral, Turquoise and Mother of Pearl
1 1/2" wide
for a 6 1/4" wrist
$10,550
I
just noticed a small dot, inlaid in Coral below a 2nd Jesse hallmark
on the inside of the bracelet.

It
reminded me of an old tradition... in which a silversmith would put a small hole like
this
by the hallmark of his best work. Some people say the reason for this is
because
the artist
felt his spirit was approaching God and he offered this imperfection as
tribute.
Other people say the dot is where the artist became part of the bracelet.
