Leonard Martza has been making fine jewelry since the 1940's.

Leonard's work has not changed, it is as if we stepped back
 in time 75 years.  This is traditional Zuni jewelry
in every sense - it is beautiful and timeless.

Among other books and references, Leonard's work can
 be seen in the landmark volume, North American
Indian Adornment, by Lois Sherr Dubin.

Dragonfly's are messengers. They let you know news is on the
 way. Silver and Gemstone Dragonfly jewelry like this began
in Zuni in the 1940's. Leonard told me that it is his
design that he created when he worked
for CG Wallace.

The dragonfly is a popular jewelry design and
Leonard's is often copied.
