James Little
finest quality silver gold turquoise and diamond Navajo Jewelry
James
Little first gained major recognition in 1979 when he appeared with all the
great
Southwest jewelers and silversmiths of that time in the Collector's Edition of
Arizona Highways - The New look in Indian Jewelry.
He
appeared along with men like Preston Monongye, (Senator / Silversmith) Ben Nighthorse,
Gibson Nez, Jesse Monongye, Richard Tsosie, Boyd Tsosie and Charles Loloma.

The above sketch and text of James Little is from the August 1979
Arizona Highways Magazine.
The
jewelry James Little produced in
1979 was simply a hint of the great jewelry
yet to come.
James Little jewelry is art. It is beyond compare. His original
designs and his execution
of those designs put him at the forefront of modern
Southwest jewelry.

This Arrowhead design is one of James Little's hallmarks.

James Little 14k Gold Arrowhead Necklace
The chain measures
25" long.
The chain is made from 22 gold arrowhead links...
each link is 7/8" long.
The center pendant
is
4" x 1 5/8"
The arrowhead is a symbol of creation, power and strength.
The Zuni, for example, search for arrowheads after lightning storms.
The center stone appears to me to be a very beautiful chert or flint.
Some sparkle
appears in strong sunlight. Chert, Flint and Obsidian were used in the
Stone Age
to make
arrowheads, spearheads and knives.
$12,500
