Charles Loloma 18k Gold Coral Turquoise "Hi Rise" Bracelet
Newly discovered Charles Loloma... it belonged to Marie Creem... who bought
it
in the 1980's from an exclusive Scottsdale shop. It was never before
offered for sale.

Mrs. Creem passed away some time ago... much of her estate was auctioned by
NY Christie's. That auction took a full day.

However, Mrs. Creem's jewelry was consigned to Sedona Indian
Jewelry.
We sold Part I sometime ago... this is the beginning of Part II... this is the
first time
any of this material has been offered for sale since it was purchased new.
It is a privilege, from the contents of the collection it
is clear that
Mrs. Creem was a successful, avant-garde, forward thinking woman. Her fashion was
wonderful.
She respected the artist for she kept her jewelry immaculate. We
thank
the Creem Estate for the privilege of representing this portion of Mrs. Creem's
estate.

Everything about this Loloma evokes superlatives...
Loloma's "hi rise" design was always quite popular. To satisfy demand, it
was made to various
price points. Lesser pieces were made using silver instead of gold...
fossil ivory and ironwood
instead of high grade gemstones.
Do not confuse lesser pieces with Loloma's best work... they are world's apart.
Very large Coral branches like this were always expensive. Their price
equaled or exceeded
that of the finest turquoise. Think about how large these coral branches
had to have been
in order for Loloma to square them... remove every imperfection...
and to still have this remain.
Set along with the Coral is Lone Mountain Fossil Turquoise, Lapis and Sugalite.
You'll find fine examples of Charles Loloma jewelry photographed in books by Dubin,
Struever, Cirillo and Jacka. This piece compares favorably with the best of
those.
