Silver Bolo Tie (Bolotie) with 14k Gold Overlay and Candelaria Turquoise
The Candelaria is large and beautiful ... rare... a meditative piece
The
color of the varies from deep Robin's Egg Blue to a slightly lighter
Blue Green... The stone has lots of Zat... brilliance
The turquoise is 1 3/4" long x 1" wide
about 25 or 30 carats
The
patterns in the Candelaria are sometimes called water web (Kingman) or
bird's eye (Morenci). This is a very desirable (and scarce) trait in turquoise.
This always draws
a premium price whenever it comes to market... which is not often.

Rare, Old, Tyrone Turquoise... the patterns in the turquoise suggest an
Eagle Dancer in the sky
The gemstones are about 1 1/8" long and 7/8" long
Combined they weigh about 25 carats
The turquoise is bright blue with lots of brilliance (Zat) and golden brown
images
in the matrix. Tyrone Turquoise was first discovered in New Mexico in the
1880's. It is
long closed. Tyrone was a series of mineral deposits. These specimens are
from
the much valued, Azure Mine... they are beautiful... captivating.

Sometimes Ithaca Peak Turquoise
is mistaken for Lander Blue. The
Silver Pyrite in the matrix
helps differentiate it from Lander.
While not as expensive as great Lander Blue, great Ithaca Mine turquoise is
also rare and expensive.
The Ithaca Peak Mine is located north of Kingman
The Turquoise measures
